Star Trek, the show that started it all. Very few shows have ever had an impact that even comes close. When Star Trek aired in 1966 no one could have immagined it would thrive for more than 30 years. Spawning 3 spin-offs and 9 movies to date, Trekkers are the only fans of any kind to be listed in the Oxford dictionary. Star Trek was the story of the USS Enterprise, commanded by Cpt. James T. Kirk. The Enterprise was on a 5 year mission of deep space exploration.
